Langtang is an easily accessible region, north of Kathmandu. The Langtang Valley and Langtang National Park offers the opportunity to explore villages and enjoy a jungle walk beside the Langtang Khola ( River). You can see a multitude of wild flowers, waterfalls and wildlife such as monkeys, deer, and red pandas. We hike up through this beautiful alpine valley to Kyagjin Gompa where we rest for a day and explore the high mountain and glaciers or climb some easy peaks and ridges that give magnificent views of the surrounding peaks of the Langtang range. We then trek back for three days before a journey to the sacred lakes of Gosainkunda (a major pilgrimage sight for both Hindus and Buddhists. We cross over Laurebina pass into the predominantly Buddhist village of Helenmbu area. The language and culture and dress of the Helambu Sherpas is quite different from the Solukhumbu area (Everest Region).

Day 2: Dhunche to Thulo Shyabru (2,200m)
Day 3: Shyabru to Ghoratabela (3,030m)
Day 4: Ghoratabela to Langtang Village (3,433m)
Day 5: Langtang Village to Kyangjin Gompa (3,848m)
Day 6: Kyangjin Gompa rest day
Day 7: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,480m)
Day 8: Lama Hotel to Thulo Shyabru
Day 9: Thulo Shyabru to Dhunche
Day 10: Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu
